Micah Kaczor dominated the Summit batters with a 3 hit complete game. Kaczor was dialed in from the first pitch and did not allow a base runner until the 5th inning. With an 11 strike out, no walk outing the Raptors played good defense behind Kaczor when he did allow someone to put a ball in play. The Raptors had only 2 errors, in only allowing 2 runs.
The bats also came back alive for the Raptors. There were 8 hits, led by Davis Elliot and Hagan Severance who had 2 a piece. Ryan Beamish, Bryce Denton, Bailey Whitten and Matthew Dudas also contributed with 1 hit.
The scoring started in the bottom of the 1st when Severance turned a single into a double with impressive hustle. Two batters later he scored on a single by Elliott. The scoring stayed there until the top of the 5th inning when Summit tied the score at 1-1. In the bottom of the inning the Raptors pushed across 4 runs to take a 5-1 lead. Summit was able to add another run in the top of the sixth with the Raptors adding another in the bottom half of the inning. Kaczor the proceeded to close out the game with 3 strike outs to preserve the 6-2 win.
Raptors face Summit again tomorrow night at their place. Game time will be 6:30. See you at the ball park!
