Ravenwood Baseball defeats Forrest on Senior night

The Raptors finished the regular season with a 7-2 win over Forrest High School. The story of the night was Luke Yates dominant performance on the mound by recording a career high 15 strikeouts. “Luke was dominant once again on the mound tonight. He has continued to improve throughout his career and really had good stuff on the mound tonight. He overpowered the Forest hitters with a fastball-curveball combination.” Said Raptor coach Teddy Craig. The Raptor offense was led by Darrell Freeman who was 4 for 4 with a double and a homerun. Freeman broke the game open with a two run blast to deep left field. The ball cleared the outfield wall by 30 feet. Matthew Dudas and Michah Kaczor were also big contributors to the offense by recording two hits apiece. Bryce Denton, Ryan Beamish, and Daniel Hopfensperger all added a hit on the night. The Raptors completed the regular season with a 21-4 record. The Raptors go into the District Tournament with a number one seed and will take on the winner of Summit and Brentwood on Saturday, May 2nd at 3:00 pm.
