Ravenwood High School Athletics Department has anncounced the hiring of Allison Tyree as the school's new head softball coach. “Coach Tyree will be a great asset to the Ravenwood community both in the classroom and running the softball program. She was highly recommended by everyone we spoke with during the interview process. She has been involved with softball her entire life and is very passionate and knowledgeable about the game. We look forward to her taking over a program that returns two division one signees and a strong core unit of experienced players for the 2016 season,” said Athletic Director Danny Borne. Tyree is very familiar with Williamson County athletics as she excelled on the diamond during her high school playing career at Brentwood High School. She accumulated many awards during her high school career such as two-time All State, four time district MVP, and Williamson CountyPplayer of the Year in 2004. She continued her playing career at Lipscomb University for two seasons before being sidelined with a shoulder injury. The injury forced Tyree to shift her focus to coaching. Her coaching background included stops as an assistant at Brentwood High School and Trevecca University before stepping into a head coaching position at Page Middle School where she has coached the last two seasons. “I am extremely excited to take over a program with such a successful tradition and look forward to building upon the rich tradition the program has already established,” said Tyree.
