Senior Spotlight: Taylor Hill

Taylor Hill transferred to Ravenwood from Collierville during the summer of 2015. Since then she has been endearing herself to her teammates with her hard work, mad baking skillz, and good sense of humor. She has earned two varsity letters each in cross country and track & field, run at the state cross country meet in 2015 and the state track meet in 2016, set the school record in the 2000m steeplechase in 2016, and competed at the AAU national championships in the 800m, 1500m, and 2000m steeple during the summer of 2017.

What advice would you offer a new runner? Don't get discouraged if you are not all that quick at first. Most of us have been running for years, and it takes time to get into shape. Also, TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY. Finally, enjoy your time with teammates. It won't last forever.

What will you miss the most about running cross country at Ravenwood? I'll miss my friends the most.

What do you like to do besides run? I bake a lot, watch Netflix, knit, read, go to farmers markets, and play board games. I'm basically a 17 year old grandma.
